You climb back into the mountains from Vizzavona toward the Capannelle area on paths through pine forest and open cols. Allow about 5.5 hours to re-find your mountain legs after any rest stop.

Capannelle has refuge accommodation in high pasture. The southern GR20 is drier and sometimes hotter than the north - carry enough water.
