Stage 9

A longer day at about 7 hours drops through forest toward Vizzavona and the railway line that bisects the route. The descent is sustained - knees feel this one after a week of granite.

Vizzavona is a village with a station, a hotel, and supplies. Many walkers take a rest day here before the southern half - the character of the trail shifts from here.
