Stage 3

A stage of cols and ridges leads toward Haut Asco and the foot of Monte Cinto country. Expect about 5.5 hours on rocky ground with big views when the mist lifts.

Haut Asco has a ski station and refuge options in a high valley. One of the more accessible overnight stops on the northern half - still remote by normal hiking standards.
